Our Fees

Interior Design is a detailed, personal process that Allusions Interior Design customizes for each individual client's needs. Allusions Interior Design is a full-service firm that handles all aspects of design from interior space to overseeing new construction.

Step One
We ask you to contact us and set up an appointment for a Communication Exchange Session. You interview us as we interview you. Stephanie V and Associates feel a great personal relationship must be present between designer and client.

Step Two
The Communication Exchange Session must take place at your home or office. We ask that you do some homework and collect pictures of finished rooms that you like. Believe it or not, a designer can recognize similarities between the pictures even when you can't; sometimes when you are not able to realize why you like a look, our designer can ask questions about the look (color or lack of it, fabric, furnishings, and accessories, etc.) and then determine what it is that attracts you about that look.

At this time, we also collect information about what you want and expect from our firm. We also discuss the budget you plan to spend. We then will view your home or office space, take pictures, and ask additional questions, specific to each room such as what will stay and what will not. After our fact-finding is completed, we explain how our different fee structures are comprised.

Step Three
We send out a written project analysis report about your project. This report states exactly what the job entails, how long the project will take for completion, and the estimate for the cost of the project. Our estimate includes options for you from one of our fee structures or a combination of them.

After you and your project manager of Allusions Interior Design review the project analysis report, you can determine if our firm is right for your project. Allusions Interior Design believes we must spend quality time working on each job as if it were the only job we have, and we must also decide if what you want and your budget is realistic for us to accept this project in your best interest.

Step Four
All parties come together for the signing of the contract; at this time, a 50 percent Design Fee deposit is due. Allusions Interior Design truly believes that design is a process and from this point on, we select fabrics, furnishings, paint colors, draperies, bedding, floor coverings, and fine art. Because our clients all have different needs, sometimes we are asked for turn-key services, where we provide everything from furniture to silverware.

Step Five
Installation is something that occurs throughout the entire design process. When your furnishings arrive at our receiving company, we will notify you and schedule a delivery. A representative from Allusions Interior Design will meet the delivery truck at your home or office for all major deliveries.

Step Six
You will receive monthly progress reports stating what has been ordered, the cost of each individual item, any deliveries, and what we are still waiting for.

Step Seven
This involves a final walk-through with a final progress report to affirm that everything is present as stated in the original contract. The final Design Fee balance is due and a release is signed by both parties.
